I made some slants and a starter yesterday. I used 100g DME and 100ml H2O. Just read Mr. malty said 10:1 so I should have only used 10g of DME. He said I don't want high gravity for growing the little ones.

So will I have piss poor yeast, or will I breed yeast that do best for high gravity? Maybe I should just remake the slants and start over again tonight.

Any thoughts?

Ya, I guess your right. I did use about 200ml of water, now that I think about it; and I maybe lost 10 - 20ml in the boil.

As for my current starter, could I just add water? I put sediment from four Sierra Nevada porters in there about 12 hours ago.

Thanks.
