I've been paying $35 locally. I seriously suggest contacting any local brewpubs and begging to piggyback a sack on their pallet orders.

I got Cargill 2-row (Schreier) on clearance at my LHBS for $25 for a 50lb sack. Normally it's $30

40 bucks a bag from my lhbs. I second the brewpub suggestion. I contacted one a few days ago via email and he offered to put me a bag of marris otter on his next purchase.. I had just bought from somewhere else though.

I pay about $50 a bag shipped from north country malt, so in comparison, your LHBS price seems fair... but, if you can find a brewpub willing to help you out, by all means, do so - the ones in my area don't give a crap about homebrewers.
I just hooked up with a guy who coordinates bulk orders for the HB'rs in St. Louis. I paid $27.50 each for (55 pound) Briess 2-row and Weyermannn Pilsner...delivered to St. Louis.

$45 here. They malt it about an hour from where I live so I could probably get it cheaper, but I like to support my HBS.
