Hey All-
I have been successfully using better bottles as secondary fermenters for some time now, but it occurs to me they cant be that different from the regular blue water cooler bottles, of which I have access to many...any feedback, especially personal experience would be great, if they transfer flavors, etc.

Thanks
joe

There are several lengthy threads here on the virtues (or lack thereof) on the types of plastics and whether or not they are acceptable for longer term wort storage. That aside, conventional wisdom is that the blue water bottles are more permeable to oxygen and could lead to a faster staling of your beer over time. I understand that the better bottles are made from a different material that limits this.
