I managed to collect yeast from Dead Guy Ale

Awhile ago I bought a case of Dead Guy Ale and was happy to see a little yeast in the bottom of the bottles. I had heard Pacman was a great yeast but people were unable to get it going when collecting it from Dead Guy Ale. I saved the dregs from every bottle in the case and had a nice amount of yeast. I made a starter and it took off. Now I have enough to slant and freeze some and use some for my Dead Guy clone this weekend! Yeah!

Don't freeze the slant obviously, but there's nothing wrong with freezing yeast in glycerin. I do it all of the time.

Yeah, I use a glycerin solution to freeze it. Right now I have 15 slants in the freezer and they thaw out and eat up wort just fine
