Hi all....I'm looking to make and amber ale with a nice "red "color....I'm looking for suggestions to achieve that color.

Extract or AG? Extract you can use an amber malt extract. AG you can use carared, lighter crystal malts 30-40L range, and I actually use a tiny bit of chocolate in mine. Chocolate is not common in the style, but it gives me my color without adding extra crystal malt. Also, when I'm adding it, it's only about .2lbs. so it's not enough to add noticeable flavor.
