Went to Bottle a cider yesterday and found it had a pellicle on it. It was 8 months old and 0.998. Had an obvious Brett flavor to it. I bottled it. Tastes 'OK', not what you expect from a cider. It was only 24 bottles.

Not sure what caused it. I have used a similar fermenter for an all-brett cider before, and it might have been the same container. I've tossed it now. I have recently started writing an S on the side of any plastics that have been used for Bretts or Sours.

was it pressed apples, or apple juice, sounds like an impurity, or wild yeast on the skins of the apples, brett has funky properties sounds like a perfect brett bomb!!!!
