My first ever home brew (belgian wit) just hit the kegs. I have 2 of the 2.5 gal corny kegs. I'm going to sit one in storage for awhile but I just can't wait any longer. It's been 3 weeks and it's killing me. I'm going to force carbonate the one whilst shaking the **** out of it. I've heard you can get it done in an hour or so doing it that way.
Then a few more hours in the fridge and hopefully I'll be having a cold one this evening. I have another batch in the primary (scottish ale). Tis a fine day!:tank:

gratz!

be aware that rapid force carbing like that usually means you'll taste the CO2 for a day or two, until it mellows into the beer.

so if it tastes a little bitter, it'll probably mellow by next week.

Just tried a glass. It's better than I thought it would be. Needs more time though.

Took the keg to a small gathering yesterday. It's gone! I guess that's a good sign.
