I have some Antwerp ale yeast that have already washed twice before. i just started harvesting yeast for a frozen yeast bank. is it wise to harvest the Antwerp yeast since its 3rd gen?

Many pros use up to 10 pitches from the same yeast. Most say that the 3rd gen is one of the best ones. They're really working right and haven't had enough times to mutate. I've had good luck with the 3rd and 4th gen. Haven't gotten beyond that tho. Course, I'm talking about pitching, not banking.

i've gone as far as 5th, with great results. never did more than that. professional breweries have gone over 200 years. 1 claims over 400

Cool cause i really dig this yeast and i want to add this yeast to my yeast bank. hell the more the merrier!!
