ive recently begun homebrewing and have brewed and bottled my first batch. now i cant get the odor of my batch out of the fermenter. i figured that any ligering odors would carry over to my next batch and i dont want that happening. any suggestions?

If it won't wash out I found that rinsing with peroxide does the trick for me. Use the plain peroxide you buy at the drug store. YMMV.

I just dump a $1.79 quart bottle in straight, slosh it around and let it set for a bit. You'll know when it works because the smell will be gone, then just pour it out and rinse.
