DPST Power Relay for 240V 30A Kill Switch?

I scavenged this relay and I think it will work as a main kill switch to a water heater element, but I wanted to get a confirmation.

Here's the datasheet.

It says max contact current rating is 30A and max contact voltage rating is 600V. It's a DPST relay. Should this be fine for both legs going to a 240V 5500W water heater element? I would drive the relay coil with 120V and a switch to act as a kill switch to the heater element. I'll be doing the PID control with an SSR, this is just a main safety on/off switch.

That contactor will do the job very well for you. It is rated well within the power requirements for your mission.

This is a bit of an old thread, but will this relay switch two 2000W 110V elements?

From the documentation:

Rated voltage 277VAC
Max. switching voltage 600VAC
Rated current 30A NO; 3A NC
Limiting continuous current 40A NO; 3A NC
Limiting making current 40A NO; 3A NC
Limiting breaking current 40A NO; 3A NC

Yeah, it should work fine granted you have the two elements on separate poles
