So I started a mead 5 weeks ago with a starting gravity of 1.126 using lalvin 118, and it's still quite actively bubbling (you can see the bubbles through the glass, as it's crystal clear). The amount of bubbles hasn't really changed in the last 2 weeks, showing no signs of slowing or stopping. when will it end? :( I wanna use that carboy.

Well, your guess is as good as mine, but mine was in the carboy for almost 5 months. I purchased a new one......

Thats a huge gravity, better buy a lazy boy for that carboy cause he will be relaxing for a while. hehe meads seem to take a long time. Were just now drinking my first.

bubbles don't necessarily mean anything.

what is your gravity down to after 5 weeks?
