Effect of temperature on pH measurement

Ive read a few thing telling you to take a pH measurement at room temperature if you dont have a meter that auto corrects. If I'm using regular old brewing pH strips (measure between 4.5 and 6 or something) would I be far off if im just dipping them into my mash?
 
The pH reading on strips is generally less affected by temperature compared to a handheld meter. I think Kaiser did some experiments to show this.
 
oh thats good to know. I figured it would be the other way around or something
