Mine was an extract. Northern Brewer's extra pale ale. I just added orange zest and crushed coriander seed in the last 5 min of the boil. I couldn't be more pleased with the result.

this is a big ass delicious sounding pale-i might just have to try it next time i brew a APA. why the leaf for the 90 and pellets the rest of the way?

I am trying to use up some pellet cascade, but I like to have SOME leaf in each brew to help filter out the rest of the junk when I drain the kettle. There is no other reason, no "recipe specific" reason.

It is an excellent beer... it ended up BIGGER than predicted because I changed my crush and process and went from 70% to over 80% eff. It is EXCELLENT! I am leaving the recipes as is, the 1.068 OG is gooooood.

im sure that OG is good-i would be getting mighty sloppy with this on draft on a hot summers day :D

i really need to get a crusher and stop messing around-i know i'm nailing my mash and sparging and still stuck in the high 67-73 range :(

I will be kegging a batch of this this friday, It looks so good and i can't wait to try. If all goes well i will be serving it at a big Kentucky Derby Party.

By the way those pictures are awesome, makes me very thirsty.:)

Yeah the OG was accidental... but I have now decided to KEEP the recipe as is even with the gain of 10% in eff. It has a nice "happy factor" that I have come to like.

anyone have a good extract version of this recipe? i looked at northern brewer's kit ingredients and was hoping for something with a combo of DME and LME, or even all DME.

Looks very interesting, how long did you leave after fermentation before serving? In secondary or keg/bottle I mean.
