So, I got the bright idea to mix some unboiled wort with my yeast to give it something to munch on right before pitching. I'm thinking this is a bad thing, but not having done that before I'm not sure. Sometimes my brain doesn't cooperate with me

So, Chuck it or Pitch it?

Thanks, Mike:(

edit: it was only about a cup of wort

The only real problem here is that the wort may not be sanitary. but if you are using it for a starter im assuming you pitched a lot of yeast and that should be able to "win" over any bacteria. You would probably be safe, but that is up to you to determine if you want to take the chance or not.

after some digging I found another thread on this. The suggestion was to dump it because it would most likely get infected with lactobacillus.
