Hi, this is my first time trying to brew root beer. I used a kit and followed the instructions, but after only 24 hours my pair of 2-liter bottles are ROCK HARD.

The kit used champagne yeast, which I understand will continue to carbonate even after I refrigerate the root beer.

I think the root beer was still a little on the warm side when I added the yeast (about 100 degrees).

Should the go in the fridge right away? Should I open the caps to let some gas escape? I'm worried about these things exploding.

Thanks in advance.
