just had a quick question about brewing in my basement. its a little damp down there (about 85% according to my dehumidifier). is this going to effect anything?

thanks.

It shouldn't. If you are using an airlock with some vodka or sanitizer in it, nothing from the around the fermenter should be able to get in. If you wanted to be extra cautious, just don't open anything up down there, but you should be fine. What is the temperature and is it steady? That is the more important thing to consider.

i agree....tempurature, more importantly tempurature CHANGES are more important since the airlock is in place. If you have a good steady room temp you sould be peachy!

If you looking actually brewing down there, make certain you have good ventilation and no mold or other airborne issues.
