Arizona Society of Homebrewers Oktoberfest. Saturday, Oktober 7, 2006

It's time for the 12th annual ASH Oktoberfest!!

Oktoberfest will be held this year on Saturday, Oktober 7th at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. For those who don't know, this is the PREMIERE EVENT for the Arizona Society of Homebrewers. Attendance is generally in the neighborhood of 300-400 and there'll be more beer flowing than you can shake a pretzel at. Homebrew, wine, mead, soda...all libations are welcome. If you made it, bring it! Just don't bring it in glass containers, please. The band this year with be the traditional Bavarian-style KRUGENKRAUT and the AZ BBQ Association will be joining us again to cook up plenty delicious smoked meats (for FREE!!). All attendees get a free T-Shirt and raffle ticket for the KEGERATOR to be raffled in the afternoon.

Now for the most important part: YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF ASH BEFORE THE DAY OF THE EVENT TO GET IN. Go ahead and re-read that. This means that WE WILL NOT SELL MEMBERSHIPS ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. NO exceptions. So, make sure you have your membership in order ASAP. ASH Membership is only $25 and may be purchased at Papago Brewing Co. or any of the local homebrew shops.

Designated Drivers get in free but do not receive a glass, T shirt or wristband. Water and soda will be provided. All attendees consuming homebrew must have a wristband.

You can also contact me for information concerning membership.

Hope to see you there!! :tank:

All non-DD who enter need to be members. Purchase membership prior to the festival. The money is well worth it. No matter where you look, there'll be kegs galore. This year I'll miss the festival. But I'm hoping to be back with BA soon and attending all the festivals again.

Enjoy,
Wild

Thanks for the reply Wild. Yes, you need to be a member to drink. Designated drivers do get in free but no Tshirt or glass for them.

Make sure you get your membership paid for BEFORE Friday 10/6. You can get them at any local brew shop or at Papago brewery.

See ya there.
