oatmeal stout help, all advise is welcomed

I just brewed a pm, my first, oatmeal stout and it looks and smells great. The taste wasn't too bad, but maybe not too close to what I wanted. I love goose's and I was hoping some one much wiser then me could school me on how the heck you get that strong oat flavor.

What percentage of oats did you use? I've seen recipes go anywhere from 3% to 15%.

I did a pm with 4.75 lbs of grain 1lb being oats and 1lb being 6row.

I've used up to 30 percent oats in stout (3 lbs or so in an average mash)
using a large proportion like that and toasting the oats can really help.
