yep, I've done a summer blonde ale that I've racked onto a bag of sliced up granny smith apples. I was shooting for a nice sumer drink with a nice, crisp apple taste..I didn't get a ton of apple taste, so I cheated a bit and added some green apple extract to it to where I liked it. But it does work

I just havent seen alot of these on the posts. I have a ton of apples left over from a kids school fundraiser. And what better way to use them up, in a homebrew idea.

just my 2 cents, but would juicing the apples after fermentation and mixing it back in give you the affect your going for?

Yes, maybe. I just have never had any beer that had apples in it. I know, I know it is a fruit beer, but they are going to be bad in alittle while. I can always give them to my hunting dogs they will eat anything.
