5 gal continental pilsner
5 gal irish red ale
5 gal liberty cream ale
5 gal phat tyre clone
5 gal christmas ale

25 for me

29,565

25 gallons since my last post. The last, a bourbon porter, on 12/28.

So 29,590 gallons.

Let's shoot for at least 35k next year!

28 more gallons since 10/17. Final for 2009.

29,852 + 28 = 29,880

That's a total of 101.5 + 28 = 129.5 gal for the year - is that legal?

Edit: Just realized - should have waited to be the one to take it over 30K!

Sorry, forgot about my Belgian Golden Strong brewed on 12/22 so...

5.5+29,880=29,885.5

How many gallons did I brew in 09?

Not enough! Due to moving into a new house I had to take roughly 6 months off from homebrewing, but I still managed to brew about 60 gallons in 2009.

60+ 29,885.5=29945.5

We need 54.5 more gallons

My total for the year was 53 gallons having just started in August, so that's

30,191 + 53 = 30,244

Finally adding in the rest of mine from last year since my previous post in the thread back in August

40 more gallons

40 + 30,789 = 30,829

Guys, I wish I could make as much as you all do. It's hard enough to find the time to make 3 or 4 :tank:

Anyway 3, 6 Gallon batches in 2009

30834
+ 18
------
30852

Shouldn't this thread be closed since it was keeping track of 2009 beers? I haven't updated with any of my new brews because of this..

Now that its almost 8 months into the year, may I be the one to congratulate all brewers for a successful year of brewing?

30,862 Gallons!

Can we convert this into pounds? Estimate calories? Total CO2 emitted? How many pools we could fill? How long we could supply BMC? How many truckloads of beer/ grain/ hops? Hours of time WELL SPENT? Simply number of beers? The sky is the limit here.... I say its 30,862 gallons of water treated with respect! ...Lucky water!

Congratulations Folks!

Probably closer to 100,000 gallons of water (probably a lot more) if you take into account full boils, cleaning, sanitizing, rinsing, etc.

30,862 gallons, approximately $35 invested per 5 gallons (low estimate if you figure equipment amoritization)

$154,310 documented in this thread alone. Probably 5%-10% of batches brewed on HBT are documented here. Probably less than 5%-10% of homebrewers use HBT.
