I'm looking to put a valve on the bottom of my kettle so I can use a false bottom instead of BIAB. The beers I brew are usually so big that BIAB is not really an option. for example right now I have an IPA that Im getting ready to brew and it has 19lbs of grain.

what are the steps and supplies that I need? Oh and I can't weld although if I must I'm sure I can find someone.

Thanks

if you are installing a bottom drain i assume you aren't direct firing the kettle?

you can also install a drain in the side with a pick up tube to get under the false bottom, that would allow you to still direct fire...
