Hey All,

Looking to thread a hose barb onto the gas post of my corny keg--does anyone know the thread pitch I'll need? I'm assuming it'll be a compression thread rather than a pipe thread.

I've tried fitting a blowoff tube to the existing threads, but the hose keeps slipping off, so I'd like to adapt to a hose barb instead.

Thanks for your advice.

An alternative to the hose barb: have your blow-off tube go over your "gas-in" post with the poppet removed from the post and just use a hose-clamp to secure the hose onto the post. I have done it this way and worked well for me.

Just my .02

I ended up installing a gas out barb and stringing a blowoff tube down to a 3-qt jug of water for blowoff. No muss, no fuss!
