I was up bored last night so I decided to try and design a continuously hopped Imperial RyePA. What do you guys think about this recipe. I am pretty new to this, I started brewing in January and just brewed my 5th batch so I have been getting into it pretty quickly. I might also think about doing this without the Rye as a normal 90 Minute IPA. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!! PS: The hop schedule is a doozie

I think that your late additions of Warrior are a waste. Anything after 30 mins is uneccessary. It is a bittering hop. See below

Warrior Hops
From BrewWiki
Warrior is a general-purpose bittering hop that offers a neutral, clean bittering primarily in ale styles. Alpha acids are in the typical to high bittering hop range of 15 to 17%. It has a relative low cohumulone content which contributes to a smooth, pleasing bitterness. This is a relatively new variety that was first bred at Yakima Chief Ranches.

Specifications
Typical Use : Bittering
Alpha Acid : 15 to 17% AAU
Origination : USA
Commercial Examples : Three Floyd's Alpha King Pale Ale, Dogfish Head IPA
Characteristics : Clean bittering
Styles : American IPA
Similar Hops : Nugget, Columbus.

I will adjust with this in mind. I did not realize this at all. Good learning process!!

I think that your confusing hop schedule is a waste. You won't have a better IPA than another brewer who uses a simple 60/10/0/DH schedule. One thing is certain though... that rye malt is gonna f$ck everything up for you... wild guess.

Warrior is dual purpose by the way. You can use it for bittering or aroma. Magnum would be an example of a better bittering hop. There are a lot of opinions about hop character, but the only trusted advice should be based on pure science...

Magnum: 1.8 total oil / 32% myrcene
Warrior: 1.5 total oil / 45% myrcene
Columbus: 2.5 total oil / 45% myrcene
Nugget: 2.0 total oil / 52% myrcene

And here are the big three aroma hops for comparison...

Amarillo: 1.7 total oil / 69% myrcene
Simcoe: 2.3 total oil / 63% myrcene
Citra: 2.5 total oil / 63% myrcene

Guess its back to the drawing board. I just wanted to try a continuously hopped 90 minute ale.
