about using a freezer for fermenting ales ????

Hello I have a A19 digital johnson temp controller now my ? is I also have a freezer an I am wounding if I can use my controller to ferment ale's without changeing the jumper around to heating mode. Right now I have my controller set to cool so can I leave it at that an still ferment ale's ?????????
 
Yeah, as long as you want to COOL the beer to fermentation temp. I have the A419 as well. As long as what you are switching is less than 16A... you can switch cooling or heating with it.

Why not switch jumpers?
