I know this is a Lowenbrau logo but is there a specific name for this type of lion standing up with the arms stretched out and sometimes a tongue sticking out?

griffin- tons of different types on how the mark is artistically made

search "griffin" on google and you will see tons of them

Watch out Bird, I think we've found a new post whore.....

"Löwenbräu" (Lou-ven-broy in German) or "Lowenbrau" (Low-when-brow in English) means lions brew. :D :D

In the Middle Ages the "lion" was the symbol for the "king".

There must be a thousand Lowenbrau's in Germany.;)

Ya, not a griffin - or a griffawn for that matter.

With my days in geekdom, I know the difference

Todd, what's the interest in that type of Lion?

I've always liked the Lowenbrau and Peugeot logos and if I ever get into labeling I may use one. That's all! :cross:
