I had this a couple nights ago and I thought it was fantastic. I went to check the AVBC website and it seems the recipe underwent some changes, it's got lower IBUs (16) and an entirely different hop bill compared to the last one in this thread. They now list Columbus, Bravo, Northern Brewer and Mt. Hood.

How'd you hop this now? Does this seem reasonable?

Columbus @90
Bravo @ 60
Northern Brewer @ 20
Mt. Hood @ 0

I'd stick with the hops and schedule from the original post. It came straight out of the mouth of the man that brews it. They may have changed some of the hops they use but I don't taste much if any difference in the beer from the Boont ambers I've had in the past (and I've had a lot of them). Timely thread bump. I just drank a few Boont Ambers last night. Such a good beer.

Brewed this and am pleased how it came out. Will post a picture and a side by side as soon as I get my hands on a bottle of Boont.

I"ll say this though: amber ales are underrated.
