I'm attempting to lager my first Pilsner and there is white matter located on the sides of the primary. It looks like yeast but I've never seen yeast on the sides of the carboy.
Has anyone had this happen? Is it infected? Should I be concerned?
The yeast I used was a Wyeast California Lager. It took approx. 3 days to fully "inflate"/start the smack pack. Also, it took 3 days after pitching for any signs of fermentation (in a chest freezer at 54 degrees). It's been a week now and we're still bubbling.
I would post a pic but it says I'm not allowed at the bottom of the page (do I have to post a certiain number of times to do this?).
Thanks!
