I don't have any idea on a special drink, but the gel temp of potato starch is 140 so you could in essence mash some with 2 row barley and see what you get. I would imagine it would dry out the beer so throw in a lb of C-60 or 80 and give it a try!!
 
Huh vodka is made of potatoes? Essentially that is very mind shattering I never would of guessed
 
Luskokowa is a triple distilled potato vodka. Long Island Vodka (LIV) is made from locally grown potatoes. I don't really enjoy vodka but I will occasionally imbibe in one of these two.
 
Actually, if you add potatoes to your mash, it would create maltose sugar. The same enzymes that break down the malt would also break down the potato starches into maltose. Your mash may be missing some key nutrients, though.
