I just kegged a batch of this, and it seems somewhere betweeen a pale ale and a nut brown both color and flavor-wise (hoppier than a nut brown). What would y'all call it???

7 lb Maris Otter
2lb Belgian biscuit
1/2 lb cara-pils

1 oz amarillo 60 min
1 oz cascade 30 min
1/2 oz amarillo 10min
1 oz cascade 1 minute

American Ale yeast

Mash 150, deg 90 min
SG 1.054
TG 1.010

Just curious... -p

Ha! Good one, David 42. Bitterness reigns, eh? 'Course I wouldn't want to go political on such an ecumenical site as this....

Anyway, definately a brown ale, given the color, but aren't most browns on the sweeter side of the spectrum? I guess I don't know what the traditional definitions are. This beer is pretty dry...

I won't clog the new postings any longer with this... thanks for the feedback. -p
