My last 2 brews have had I wired Kraeusen form at fermentation. I was just wondering if it was the yeast I am using?? Here are some pictures and i used White labs on both one Trappist Yeast 500 and one Kolsch Yeast 029.

Thanks

Slightly unrelated to your Q - I did notice that you're fermenting (~72'F) right at the upper limit of the optimal ferementation temp for the trappist (65'-72') and over for the kolsch (65'-69'). You'll have better results if you're able to control the temps a little more. Try a water bath + ice/frozen bottles, or a soaked towel + fan.

It is sitting @ 68 now but the temp in my basement has been all over the place. My other brews have had foam this looks more like clay :) I will try the towel and fan. This weekend we are supposed to get snow what advice to you have for warming it up?

Thanks again!!
