I'm curious if 1.25 qt/lb is enough water to mash about 40% flaked corn without getting really thick and sticky? My last batch was 50% flaked wheat mashed at 1.25 qt/lb and it was thick as hell.

Yes, corn will make a sticky mess. Rice hulls will be your friend. But I don't even try to do such large percentages of adjuncts like that on my system.

I do have 1lb of hulls I'm going to use for the 10g batch. I'm just curious if I should go up to 1.5 qt/lb for this batch.
