Too much water...should I try to correct it?

So I got a bit distracted and added too much water to the primary fermenter. I am making a steam beer and there is probably 5.5-6 gallons of wort instead of 5. Was thinking about adding something when I rack to the secondary to increase the concentration. One idea I had was to boil down a half or whole gallon of apple cider to make a syrup and add that. Or should I just leave it alone? Thanks for any help....

It will be fine as is, or you could add some extract or actually any "sugar" you want but do it in primary unless you want to wait longer.

Also if you add cider it will no longer be steam beer of course but it's your beer do what you want. Just make certain you have the capacity in the fermentor.
