I'm about to make my first mead. I'm also thinking about adding a couple pounds of frozen blueberries. Is this OK? Should they go right in the primary from the start? Use a grain bag, perhaps?
Also, for the basic 3g batch, does 2 tsp yeast nutrient and 1 tsp acid blend sound about right? Plus enough honey to get me in the 1.090 neighborhood.

If you plan on pasteurizing the honey, the berries could go in the pot. Otherwise, blanch the berries & put them in the primary. Everything else sounds fine.
