I searched on here and found a few threads showing differing Newcastle recipes. I looked through Papazian's book and saw the recipe for "Naked Sunday Brown Ale", calling for John Bull Brown ale kit (hopped LME) and 1.5 lbs light DME.

Anyone tried this? Seems too easy to me. Anyone have a recipe that is damn close to N.C.? All the threads I read seemed to be close to newcastle, but something was always different. Just looking to get as close as I can.

Thanks!

After drinking homebrew exclusively for a few months, I drank a Newcastle and thought it tasted a bit thin. Eliminate the black patent from the Midnight Oil recipe in my signature, and you'll have a pretty tasty brown ale with some body.

Sorry for not coming through on the clone recipe...
