What are the downsides of using biab instead of false bottom?

Instead of using false bottoms in igloo type homebrew setups. Whynot use a bag and still sparge in whatever way. You could use a finer grind to increase efficiency and not have to buy the false bottom setups (which I have had stuck sparges on).
 
It boils down to how you like to brew. Having grains in the bag prevents you from easily stirring. It would also probably cause channeling when sparking, but that's just a guess.
