Hop Merchant Caterpillar, aka eastern comma. Can strip a plant of all of its leaves in no time flat.

I'm in mid-Michigan and haven't seen anything yet. No Japanese beetles yet, either... I'm really gearing up for those this year. Have you seen any down there yet?
Started seeing Japanese Beetles in Maryland the last few weeks. So far only on my Jujube trees, but they are 10 feet from my hops so I busted out the Sevin and dusted. Wife reported seeing more this morning when she was watering so gotta pay close attention!

Yep, got those too! Been using neem + pyrethrins and its been keeping them at bay.

Haven't seen any hop merchants here in WI, but damn the leaf hoppers and severe thunderstorms have beat up my hops this year.
