Added all 2oz of hops at boil.realized towards then end that I need to add .5 oz last 15 min and .5 oz @ last minute of boil. I removed the bag of hops about 3/4 of the way through, had some saiz hops and I tossed some in towards then end...guess my beer won't be Brown Nut Ale per recipe. I tasted it just before goin in carboy and tasted bittery. I guess time will tell after I bottle.

That will change things but I doubt that it will be bad at all.

Don't judge the final flavor by anything before it is fully carbonated. It will likely change a lot during the process.

why add hops when I think it's already "too hoppy"?

Dry hopping adds aroma and a little flavor, no bitterness. It would help balance out the unexpected higher IBU.
