Any reason why you wouldn't just want a march pump? because of the self priming nature I guess? Otherwise the marches work great and I use them to transfer after sanitizing them w/o any issues.

I have and love my march pump, but yes I need a self priming one for transfers from primary to secondary and secondary to keg or bottling bucket.

am I the only one who hates picking up full carboys to autosyphon them?

I think moving the beer under c02 pressure is a much more common solution as the fittings required if you already have c02 are much simpler and cheaper than a pump.

I just dont want to pump a glass carboy with co2. People say that dropping a full one is pretty much inevitable, so I assume that rule would apply to exploding one with co2. I plan on making a lot of beer this year and I don't want to tempt fate that much.
