Last night I brewed a variation of Bee Cave IPA :
3.5kg pale 2-row
1kg Vienna
500g Flaked barley

First time I brewed it I got OG of 1.052 which, according to the recipe, is about right. Last night I got 1.060 - hydrometer and refractometer.

Any idea why ?

Any chance someone can calculate what I should get using one of the brewing programs ?

Sounds like you just got better efficiency. I'm at work, otherwise I'd calculate out what you originally had and what you should have.

Were your hydro readings adjusted to 60degrees?

I thought I got good efficiency the first time - 8 points higher is huge.
I waited for the sample to cool.
I'd appreciate that calculation when you get a chance :mug:
