Question: My choke cherry wine has a banana taste. It is still in the carboy and about six months old. Iis this normal or should I try to fix it?

That sounds like an off-flavor called "esters". Esters are fruity flavors, often described as banana like or sometimes bubblegum, generally caused by some strains of yeast and also stressed yeast during fermentation.

I'm not sure how you'd correct it once it occurs, as it's usually something that is prevented during fermentation by stirring the wine during primary, giving the wine yeast some nutrients, etc, not letting the fermentation get too hot, etc.
