Have a handful of successful brews under my belt. All 10 gallon, extract batches. And looking to try something different. Just want advice for a novice on a fall brew. I was thinking either a pumpkin ale or a hard cider. What are your thoughts. I have all necessary equipment to brew anything. So let's here some ideas.

I like a nice Amber Ale in the fall time. But a pumpkin ale sounds really good too. Do both a beer and a cider. I did Edwort's Apfelwine but skipped out on the extra sugar, just did 5 gallons of apple juice. I then carbonated and to me it is just like an apple cider. Pretty damn tasty and takes all of 5 minutes to brew!!

I am currently planning a spicey holiday brew. This will give the spices lots of time to mellow before Christmas.
