do not know why but when ordering yeast packets a few months ago I ordered a brewferm lager yeast, I usually use fermentis safelager? I have a few batches coming up: a Yuengling clone, cream of 3 crops cream ale, a pete's wicked wanderlust cream ale clone and a light american lager. the cream ales can use either a lager yeast or a clean ale yeast (I do have S-05). Can someone in the know who has used these yeasts describe any differences in the brewferm vs fermentis dry lager yeasts aside from the descriptions online? also which yeast would be better for any of the recipes above. I was originally planning the light american then using the yeast cake for the Yuengling clone and at the same time the cream of 3 crops then the Pete's wicked clone after since it has some wheat any thoughts (lager yeast vs s-05)?
