Hey all,
I bought a turkey fryer set up that came with a strainer basket. The handle for the strainer basket is zinc plated plus it has sharp edges which can easily scratch the aluminum pot when being lifting the basket in and out of the pot.
I was thinking about replacing the handle with some nylon rope, seeing as the mesh bag for the grains is also made of nylon and the hottest the water will get will be 170 F.
Think this will be an ok idea or are there reasons to avoid the nylon rope?
Thanks,
Nick
