I think I'd find it annoying to take out the setscrews just to get the hopper off to clean the mill. So I was thinking of using a Dremel to cut slots down to the bottom below the setscrews holes so I could remove it easily. Anyone else done that or is it a bad idea?

Should work, but I just use compressed air (I'm in my garage so no big deal there) to clean it.

Looks like a bad idea to me. +1 compressed air. I don't wet mill, so I rarely need to take mine apart, just blow it out.
