So I have some pretty basic lager questions, but rather than post 20 of them here can someone point me to a book or website dedicated to teaching about lagers? I did a search here and came up with a few things, but not a whole lot. Thanks.

Have you started with Palmer's section in How to Brew on breing lager?

It starts here, but he talks about lager yeast in chapter 6 as well.

+1 On How To Brew. It's good basic information broken down in an understandable way. After you've read that, if you want to delve deeper (there is a lot more to learn), get the book New Brewing Lager Beer by Greg Noonan... one of the best books on lager brewing (beer in general, really) available to the homebrewer. How To Brew's lager information will tell you what to do, New Brewing Lager Beer will help you better understand why.

Also Basic Brewing Radio did some good podcasts with Chris Colby of BYO on lagering.

December 21, 2006 - Brewing American Pilsner
Chris Colby, editor of Brew Your Own magazine walks us through the hoops and hurdles home brewers have to go through to brew American Pilsner, the most maligned of all styles.

December 29, 2005 - Vienna Lagers
We talk to Chris Colby of Brew Your Own magazine about Vienna Lagers, a style favored south of the border. Chris takes us through the style and how to make great Vienna lagers at home.

revy you still the man found one of your old post. perfect timing on the vienna lager i'm fermenting right now:mug:

Did you check out the Chris Colby one on Vienna Lagers? I based my recipe on the info from that one and won an honorable mention in a contest this summer.

I was just given a free sack of vienna last week at "teach a friend to homebrew" and am planning on doing a 10 gallon batch with a buddy in a couple weeks.

yes, unfortunately after i brewed the vienna. my timing is awful. please check it out in the extract section and tell me what you think.
