Before I buy what I need (can't beat the shipping rates at Northernbrewer!), I wanted to make sure I'm getting everything I need.

Here's what I am ordering:

Basic Starter Kit
(contains)
# Six gallon fermenting bucket with lid
# Six gallon bottling bucket with spigot
# Fermentation lock
# Siphon tubing
# Bottle filler
# Bottle brush
# AutoSiphon
# Bottle capper
# 144 bottle caps
# Hydrometer
# 8 oz. One-Step Sanitizer

Honey Kolsch Extract kit

18" Plastic Paddle (didn't have a good spoon)

Is there anything else I might need?

Thanks in advance!

At least 50 12 ounce bottles and a pot that is big enough to boil 3 gallons of water in. Other than that it looks good.

I have the pot and bottles, no problem.

What kind of thermometer? The floating ones? or the dial ones? Should i drill a hole in the plastic bucket to thread the thermometer through?

That kit (plus thermometers) sounds like a winning combination to me.

I don't know if this was oversight or not... I see mention of a spigot and a filler as well as a siphon, but you only mentioned siphon tubing... You'll need it to connect your filler to the spigot as well.

don't forget the container for putting the hydrometer in! i'd get at least a 4 gallon stock pot (mine is 8 gallons)

Stock pot and hydrometer jar are two different pieces of equipment. :D
