So I'd like to use macadamia nut flavors in a beer in correlation with coconut but my issue im running into is the oil the nuts themselves are very oily. I figured I could bake them but then I loose a lot of their natural flavor. So my question is how much is the oil going to affect the brew or could I do something like bake then puree and filter heavily? Any help would be appreciated.

I dunno where I heard it, but a guy was using chocolate in his mash. The grain soaked up all the oils, but the chocolate flavor came through. Might be worth a try.

And I totally want to try the beer when you're done with it!

Hmm might be worth a try since I had been planning on using chocolate with it.
