ok so my first attempt has been in the fermenter for a week now the recipe(American red ale from morebeer) calls for 2 weeks before bottling. just wondering what you all think of what its looking like?

I think 2 weeks should be the minimum.
It needs to drop bright first.

Looks like its fermenting well. Good looking brew!! I would toss your instructions out the window, though and just let it go until it is finished.

yeah i have a hydrometer and was planing on taking 2 readings after the 2 weeks and then seeing where to go from there =). yeah the Krausen is something i have never seen before so i found myself taking a lot of quick peeks into the fermenter to see what was going on.
