I was thinking about doing a Honey Wheat with a little bit of a citrus kick to it. I read about Sorachi Ace hops and their strong citrusy character, so this is what I am thinking:
2.50 lb Wheat Liquid Extract [Boil for 15 min]
2.00 lb Wheat Liquid Extract
1.00 lb Honey
1.50 lb Pilsner (2 Row)
1.00 lb White Wheat Malt
0.50 lb Honey Malt
0.33 oz Sorachi Ace [13.00 %] (60 min)
0.33 oz Sorachi Ace [13.00 %] (15 min)
0.33 oz Sorachi Ace [13.00 %] (5 min)
0.75 oz Orange Peel, Sweet (Boil 5.0 min)
1 Pkgs American Hefeweizen Ale (White Labs #WLP320)
I might substitute lemon peel for the orange peel.
End up at 24 IBU
Anyone do something like this with those hops?
