I was planning on bottling my first batch today, but I used too much sanitizer. Even after rinsing the bottles with hot water several times they still have a "cleaning product smell" instead of a "clean smell".

What's my best bet here guys? Should I just let everything dry, hope it doesn't smell anymore, and try again?

I'm using Divosan by the way.

I would soak the bottles in an OxyClean Free solution and then re-sanitize with a no rinse sanitizer like StarSan or Iodophor diluted properly.

If you have a dish washer run the bottles through a cycle without dish soap. See if that takes the smell out.

+1 on investing on starsan, its great stuff and cheap.
